David Murray of Inside Evs is one of the leading voices in the world of electric cars. Over the past week, he wrote about his family’s experience trading in their 2019 Chevy Bolt EV for the 2022 Bolt EUV.
The second-generation Bolt EUV has made massive improvements in technology and user-friendliness. It is also faster, goes further, enjoys better fuel economy, and is available for a lesser cost. The Bolt EV was not quite capable and versatile enough to rank as a mass-market vehicle, and that is where the newer model shines: the EUV’s style is much more attractive to the everyday consumer. The rear seats and cargo area both offer more room, and the range weighs in at 247 miles.

The interior is better-equipped with power and ventilated seats, adaptive cruise control, wireless Apple CarPlay, auto-braking, wireless phone charging, and more. Factoring in the cost of fuel and maintenance for the average [...]

2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV

Locating a new vehicle that has the most modern and useful driver-assist technologies has long been at the top of customers’ priority list here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis, with Automatic Emergency Braking as a top-ranking wish. The AAA found last year that 67 percent of drivers had it listed as their highest priority, while Reverse Automatic Emergency Braking ranks second for those ready to purchase.

AAA does its auto-feature focused duty annually by releasing a car guide providing thorough ratings and reviews to help shoppers find the exact and most fitting match for them. The 2021 Chevy Bolt EV Premier took first place in this year’s Guide’s ranking for the small vehicle category. Another top concern among those looking for an EV is the driving range, and the [...]

From the crowded highways of Los Angeles, North State Journal writer Jordan Golson reflected this past week that there were a few times over the past year that he actually MISSED the never-ending stream of traffic. Here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis, we can relate, as the drop in commuters on arteries such as Highway 141 seemed a bit eerie during the height of the past year’s events. Now that highway activity is ramping up again, he checked out the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV, which is the perfect modern means of navigating the perpetually jammed-up way home.

Arriving on the scene with a longer wheelbase, refreshed look, and the very futuristic addition of Super Cruise, the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV is an excellent choice for ultimately claiming the win over the current state of [...]

Last month in Taylor, Michigan during a day that the sun was finally shining brightly on, the Autoblog staff first laid eyes on the brand-new 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV. The crew was on deck to take a short drive to thoroughly explore one of the most long-awaited new features on board: Super Cruise. The Bolt EUV is the first non-Cadillac vehicle to get GM’s advanced driver assistance system that allows the driver to remove their hands from the wheel completely during highway driving.

It’s a time that we have long-awaited here at Jim Butler Chevy of St. Louis, as this incoming technology was impressive enough to win Autoblog’s 2019 Technology of the Year Award, and has seen even more improvement over the last three years. There are over 70,000 miles of road where it is functional, and it combines adaptive [...]

As the age of electrification has already descended upon us, all of us here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis have been attentively watching the coming changes to the vehicle lineup, and are eager to see how the shift progresses. The Bolt EV now gains a larger relative in the form of the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV, which combines the hardware of a Bolt Hatchback with an ideal added infusion of SUV-like style. These two models are destined to possess many unique characteristics, and will not possess a single duplicate body panel between the two of them.

Coming in at 169.5 inches long, the 2022 EUV boasts 6.3 more inches than its relative, and sits on a 2.9-inch longer wheelbase. This bodes well for passengers in the rear, which will now offer 39.1 inches of legroom to allow for some healthy sprawling out. The lean-and-clean power source [...]

Since electrification has now reached a point where it is almost standard with todays automobiles, there have been many important updates for us to tell our customers about here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis. The 2021 Chevy Bolt EV will now come standard with DC Fast Charge capability, as reported this past week on the GM Authority blog. It will be available on the range-topping Premier trim level, while the 2021 Chevy Bolt EV LT trim level offers DC Fast Charging as an additional available option.

This makes things quite different than charge sourcing available on last year’s model, which offered DC Fast Charging not as standard but as an available option on both the LT trim and the Premier trim. Level 1 and Level 2 charging capabilities are now standard across the line for [...]
